On March 26, Vung Tau Ward People's Committee (HCMC) said that it has issued temporary fees for using roadways and sidewalks of 26 roads in the area. At the same time, it announced and provided specific instructions on the order and procedures for applying for roadway and sidewalk use permits.
The collection of fees for temporary use of roads and sidewalks in Vung Tau ward aims to strengthen urban order management, ensure aesthetics, and improve the efficiency of traffic infrastructure exploitation. This is also a legal basis for organizations and individuals to use sidewalks and roadways in accordance with regulations, avoiding encroachment and arbitrary use.
In which, cases allowed to temporarily use sidewalks and roadways include: serving political, cultural, and sports events; disaster prevention and control, rescue, fire prevention and fighting; construction; collection of waste and construction materials; organizing weddings and funerals and parking vehicles in some necessary cases.
The collection level is calculated according to the area and route classification, ranging from 11,000 VND/m2 to 33,000 VND/m2 in 1 month. Organizations and individuals in need must submit dossiers including written requests, land use plans and traffic organization plans for functional agencies to consider and issue permits, ensuring no impact on traffic safety and people's lives.
When the deadline expires, the user unit must collect materials, clean up and restore the ground to its original state. In case of violation or non-compliance with regulations, they will be handled according to the provisions of law.
According to the People's Committee of Vung Tau ward, the synchronous implementation will contribute to restoring sidewalk order, creating a civilized and modern urban appearance for Vung Tau ward. The locality also requires that after being licensed, users must strictly comply with regulations, use them for the right time and for the right purpose; ensure safety for pedestrians and comply with other related regulations.
