Vung Tau applies robots and AI systems in public administration service

Ho Chi Minh City - Vung Tau Ward People's Committee applies artificial intelligence system, operating reception robots to better serve people when coming to complete administrative procedures.

On March 20, Vung Tau Ward People's Committee organized the introduction of an artificial intelligence (AI) system serving administrative work, and a reception robot serving at the Vung Tau Ward Public Administration Service Center, in order to diversify methods to help people access and answer administrative procedures.

Mr. Vu Hong Thuan - Chairman of Vung Tau Ward People's Committee - said that the ward is determined in applying information technology and artificial intelligence in public services. Robots and AI systems will provide information and support answering public services for people to grasp.

In the coming time, Vung Tau ward will apply information technology and artificial intelligence more in operations. Each civil servant must apply it to deploy work with the best efficiency," Mr. Thuan emphasized.

Representatives of service providers also committed to always accompanying Vung Tau ward to improve the efficiency and productivity of local government work. According to this unit, robots and AI systems do not replace officials and people but only support and are assistants to improve work productivity; operated on a common platform being deployed for units in Ho Chi Minh City. Through this, people can ask and interact to be consulted on necessary administrative procedures.

In addition, people can also scan QR codes to interact with the application at home to grasp the necessary administrative procedures, without having to travel to the Public Administration Service Center," said a representative of a service provider.
