Crossing a level crossing at a red light, a car driver was revoked his license for 2 months

Dak Lak - Functional agencies have fined a driver for driving a car across a level crossing when the red light was turned on.

On May 23, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT), Dak Lak Provincial Police said that the unit had made a record of handling a car driver for the act of crossing a level crossing when the red light was turned on.

Previously, on May 16, 2026, functional forces received information reflecting cases of passenger cars violating railway traffic safety regulations.

Through verification, the incident occurred at 7:28 am on May 10, 2026 on the inter-village road intersecting with the railway at Km1215+650, Phu Hiep - Hao Son section on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line, belonging to Phu Khe 2 village, Hoa Xuan commune, Dak Lak province.

The Dong Hoa area team under the Traffic Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police invited Mr. N.T. L (born 1959, residing in Phu Yen ward, Dak Lak province) to work.

At the police station, Mr. L confirmed that he was the driver of the car at the time of the incident and admitted to driving the vehicle across the level crossing when the red light was turned on.

Based on the verification results, functional forces made a record of administrative violation against Mr. N.T. L for the act of "Steering the car across the level crossing when the red light was turned on".

For this violation, Mr. L was fined 5 million VND and had his driving license revoked for a period of 2 months.
