On August 18, Nhon Hoi Commune Police (An Giang) said that they had handed over Vo Thi Kim Chi (born in 2004, residing in Khanh Binh Commune, An Giang Province) to the Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police to investigate the act of fraud and appropriation of property.
Previously, Chi used his Facebook account to contact Mr. U.V.C.N (born in 1994, residing in Nhon Hoi commune), the owner of an art tattoo spray shop, to ask about the tattoo issue. He went to the shop and asked to get a lion tattoo on his leg for 6.2 million VND.
While getting the tattoo, Chi lied to Mr. N about needing money to transfer to his family to buy things, asked him to lend it, and after getting the tattoo, he would pay the loan. Mr. N believed the loan and transferred 11.85 million VND to Chi. Chi spent all this money gambling online and lost it all.
After getting the tattoo, Chi did not pay the salary but tried to escape, so Mr. N reported to Nhon Hoi Commune Police.
At the police station, Chi admitted to the act of fraud to appropriate property.
