On April 14, news from Dong Hai Ward Police said that they had coordinated with the Dong Hai Fishing Port Management Board and Dong Hai Border Guard Station to organize rapid drug testing for crew members operating on fishing boats, in order to proactively prevent early and remotely.
The activity is implemented according to the plan of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police and Dong Hai Ward People's Committee on general review and testing of drugs in fishermen in the area.
Through inspection of 24 crew members, including 5 ships departing and 1 ship entering the port, functional forces discovered 2 cases positive for drugs on the ship entering the port.
Currently, Dong Hai Ward Police are consolidating the file for handling according to the provisions of law.
According to functional forces, strengthening drug screening and testing among fishermen not only contributes to ensuring security and order but also protects the safety of life and health of fishermen themselves when participating in activities at sea.
In the coming time, Dong Hai Ward Police will continue to maintain and promote inspection and prevention measures, and resolutely handle violations, contributing to building a safe and healthy working environment.
