Accordingly, at about 3:30 pm on July 1, receiving a report from the people about a group of people gathering to gamble at a resident's house in Yen Thanh village, Van Ban Commune Police quickly organized forces to inspect and catch 6 subjects (local people) red-handed gambling in the form of playing ginseng using Tu Lo Kho cards.
Through struggle, the subjects confessed that when they discovered the police force, they hid money on their bodies, and at the same time threw the deck of cards under the bed to cover up the violation.
The task force seized 52 cards and 4,174,000 VND related to gambling acts.
Based on collected documents and evidence, Van Ban Commune Police issued decisions to sanction administrative violations for 6 cases of illegal gambling, with a fine of 1.5 million VND/person, total fine amount of 9 million VND.
