On the evening of June 16, the City Police said that the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department with the Economic Security Department had just discovered and handled social media accounts posting false information to advertise and transfer "diplomatic shares", "internal shares", "early purchase shares"... or false information about social housing projects in the area.
As a result, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention issued a decision to impose administrative penalties on Mr. N.V.C (born in 1964) and Ms. P.H. T (born in 1993) for the act of "providing and sharing false information, untrue information" (according to Point a, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP of the Government amended and supplemented). The fine is 7.5 million VND/case.
Hai Phong City Police recommends that people not believe in advertisements "protecting dossiers", "protecting tofu", "internal quotas"... on social networks; absolutely do not transfer deposits or reserve places for unclear individuals and organizations.
People only find out project information through official channels of state management agencies or from the investor themselves. At the same time, promptly report to functional agencies when detecting acts of illegal advertising and brokerage.
