Doctors and medical staff are allowed to rent public housing

Clause 1, Article 45 of the 2023 Housing Law stipulates the subjects and conditions for renting public housing as follows:

1. Subjects eligible to rent public housing include:

a) Leaders of the Party and State who are eligible to live in public housing during their tenure;

b) Cadres and civil servants of Party, State agencies, and socio-political organizations not falling under the provisions of Point a of this Clause shall be mobilized, rotated, or seconded from localities to central agencies to hold positions from Deputy Heads of agencies under the Government and equivalent or higher; shall be mobilized, rotated, or seconded from central agencies to local agencies or from one locality to another to hold positions from Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, Deputy Director of a Department or equivalent or higher;

c) Cadres, civil servants, and public employees of Party, State, and socio-political organizations not falling under the cases specified in Point a and Point b of this Clause are mobilized, rotated, or seconded to work in remote communes, areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions, border areas, and islands;

d) Officers, professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers of the People's Armed Forces who are mobilized, rotated, or seconded according to national defense and security requirements; police workers, civil servants, workers and defense officials, people working in cryptography, people working in other cryptographic organizations receiving salaries from the state budget of the People's Armed Forces who are mobilized, rotated, or seconded to work in remote communes, remote areas, areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions, border areas, and islands; except for cases where the law stipulates that the subject in this point must be in the workshops of the People's Armed Forces;

d) Teachers, doctors, and medical staff working in rural areas, remote communes, areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions, border areas, and islands;

e) Scientists assigned to preside over particularly important national science and technology tasks as prescribed by the Law on Science and Technology; talents with important contributions to the country recognized by competent authorities as prescribed by law;

g) Based on actual conditions, the Prime Minister decides that subjects not falling under the cases specified in Points a, b, c, d, dd and e of this Clause shall be arranged public housing according to the proposal of the Ministry of Construction on the basis of synthesizing proposals from ministries, central agencies and organizations and provincial People's Committees.

Thus, only doctors and medical staff working in rural areas, remote communes, areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions, border areas, and islands are allowed to rent public housing according to the above regulations.
