How do multi-level marketing participants return purchased goods?

Article 47 of Decree 137/2026/ND-CP on management of multi-level business activities (effective from July 1, 2026), stipulates the return and repurchase of goods as follows:

1. Multi-level marketing participants have the right to return goods purchased from multi-level marketing enterprises, including goods purchased under promotional programs, within 30 days from the date of receipt.

2. Returned goods must meet the following conditions:

a) Goods with original packaging, stamps, labels;

b) Attach the purchase invoice for the goods requested for return;

c) Goods still within their expiration date.

3. Within 30 days from the date the multi-level marketing participant requests the return of valid goods, the multi-level marketing enterprise is responsible for repurchasing goods that meet the conditions specified in Clause 2 of this Article and returning them according to the level agreed with the multi-level marketing participant but not less than 90% of the amount that the multi-level marketing participant has paid to receive those goods.

4. Multi-level marketing enterprises have the right to deduct commissions, bonuses and other economic benefits that multi-level marketing participants have received from the purchase of returned goods as prescribed in this Article.

5. Multi-level marketing enterprises have the right to collect from other multi-level marketing participants commissions, bonuses and other economic benefits received related to the returned goods as prescribed in this Article.

6. In case the multi-level marketing participation contract terminates, the multi-level marketing enterprise is responsible for repurchasing the goods sold to multi-level marketing participants in accordance with the provisions of Clause 1, Clause 2, Clause 3, Clause 4 and Clause 5 of this Article.

Thus, from July 1, 2026, multi-level marketing participants will return purchased goods according to the above regulations.
