The exhibition "watches well" a series of Vietnamese - German works including: 20 Faces, 20 Stories, female photographer Birgit Kleber recorded portraits of 20 individuals of Vietnamese origin in Germany.
The photo series honors 20 outstanding individuals who have steadfastly asserted themselves and created their own mark in their own fields, attracting attention to a topic that has rarely appeared in public awareness, while creating a fire for the next generations to firmly follow their path.
Inspired by the flags of Germany and Vietnam with 3 main colors - black, red and yellow - throughout almost the entire series of photos, creating a visual fiber connecting portraits and symbolizing the connection between the two countries.

Each portrait is the result of an attitude shared between the artist and the character. The female author Birgit started by expressing an attitude as an invitation. If that invitation is accepted, a dialogue is opened, and from that discussion, the portrait gradually takes shape.
Sitting next to each other in the exhibition " seeing well", photographer Birgit seems to represent observers, while 20 Faces are observers. However, once recorded in photography, everyone is both a person being seen and a person looking back at the audience.
Since the early 1990s, author Birgit Kleber has recorded portraits of his colleagues as photographers in a series of long-term works called "photographer".
She started in Berlin, where she lived and worked, then expanded to important modern art hamlets such as Paris and New York. After more than 3 decades, the series of photos has gathered more than 100 portraits - a collection of "who is who" in the photography industry, including famous faces, little-known names but equally attractive, including those who have passed away - making the work a biographical account with vivid images of the history of photography worldwide.
In the photo Journal series, author Birgit Kleber only made black and white photos, using natural light and carefully arranged bodywork to focus attention on the characters eyes.
Those looks sometimes reveal fleeting expressions such as going beyond the framework of time, capturing moments that seem to only exist in the blink of an eye and preserving them in the eternal stillness of the photo.
Coming to this " see or see" exhibition, the public of the capital will have the opportunity to meet and chat with one of the exhibition's typical faces - Uyen Ninh, a YouTuber and inspirational content creator, loved by millions of followers and lovers in Vietnam, Germany, Europe and many other places in the world.
