On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the contest, organized by the city of Hanoi and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Department of Cultural Heritage, has been implemented.
According to the information, this contest has been evaluated as the largest in scale with 50 provinces and cities and various agencies and units participating. The number of authors participating in the contest has also been the largest, with over 300 professional and non-professional authors, including authors specializing in creating propaganda posters, authors specializing in creating logos, who have won high prizes at various national-level poster and logo creation contests.
According to statistics, the number of works participating in the contest has also been the largest, with 700 works.
Notably, the oldest author participating in the contest is artist Tran Duy Truc, 80 years old, who has won numerous prizes at various poster creation contests. The youngest authors, 20 years old, are students from the Applied Arts Department, Hanoi University of Business and Technology.
The judges have also selected 26 outstanding works to award prizes, including 1 First Prize for the Logo Design Contest, 3 First Prizes for the Poster Creation Contest, 5 Second Prizes, 7 Third Prizes, and 10 Encouragement Prizes.
The poster works participating in the contest have all demonstrated the content criteria of the contest, in terms of form, such as composition, brushwork, and diverse and rich colors. Many participating works have a new artistic style, surpassing the old and conventional style in poster creation.

The First Prize-winning work in logo design by artist Nguyen Cong Quang has been selected by the Propaganda Department, the Party Committee, the People's Committee of Hanoi, and the Vụ Tuyên truyền to be the emblem for the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital.
Along with the 26 other prize-winning works, the organizers have selected 45 high-quality works to be exhibited.
The prize-giving ceremony and the opening of the poster and logo exhibition for the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital will mark the beginning of a series of events organized by the city of Hanoi from now until October 10, 2024.
