Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan signed and promulgated Plan No. 211/KH-UBND on implementing the communication program "For traffic safety in the capital" in 2024.
According to the plan, Hanoi will organize a competition on ensuring traffic order and safety, including: Multiple-choice test to learn about legal regulations on ensuring traffic order and safety;
Written contest on building traffic culture, exemplary examples in ensuring traffic order and safety; Propose solutions or initiatives to reduce traffic congestion and accidents in the capital.
The city will also operate the specialized website Giaothonghanoi.lanhtedothi.vn: Organize the publication of the Hanoi Traffic website; Upload articles, videos, and images about cutting-edge role models;
Criticize bad behavior that disrupts traffic order and safety; Implement information interaction between the specialized site and a number of other social networking sites; Promote information and propaganda about the Action Program "For Capital Traffic Safety" in 2024.
The plan aims to create a strong involvement of the entire political system in implementing the work of ensuring traffic order and safety, reducing traffic congestion and accidents in Hanoi city in 2024;
Promote information, propaganda, dissemination and education of laws on ensuring traffic order and safety under the theme "Respecting the law to build a safe traffic culture", raising awareness of people participating in traffic, contributing to building order and urban civilization and ensuring traffic order and safety.
Thereby, gradually building and fostering traffic culture among young people; especially students at all levels in the City.
The City People's Committee requires cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers in agencies and units of Hanoi city to be exemplary leaders in complying with the provisions of law on order, traffic safety, especially seriously implementing "don't drive after drinking", building a safe traffic culture.
