“Silent Glory 2024” is held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), and the 79th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Cryptography Industry (September 12, 1945 - September 12, 2024).
The art program promises to be a unique cultural event of historical significance, contributing to honoring the achievements and contributions of the Vietnam Cryptography industry, the Vietnam People's Army and the National Defense movement.
It is known that 79 years ago, after the victory of the August Revolution in 1945, the work of protecting the secret content of leadership and direction information of the Party, State, and armed forces became an extremely important and urgent requirement.
To fulfill that mission, on September 12, 1945 - just 10 days after President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam), the Military Cryptography Department - the predecessor of the Vietnamese Cryptography industry was established at the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
Accordingly, the art program "Silent Glory 2024" with images, stories, meetings with witnesses, and unique art performances praises the heroic history of the Vietnamese Cryptography industry, gratitude for the great sacrifices of previous generations and arouses the determination of today's young generation to continue the glorious tradition of the industry, carrying out the sacred mission of history and the times.
The program has a subtle connection between past - present - future - creating a complete picture of the silent yet glorious journey of the Vietnamese Cryptography industry.
Major General Nguyen Huu Hung - Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee, Head of the program's organizing committee said: The entire content and script of the program are meaningful in both art and humanity. Because of the nature of the important secret mission, even the achievements of the Cipher sector seem to be "encoded" and rarely honored.
The program also promises to bring pride and emotion to those who have been contributing to the Vietnamese Cryptography industry and new and different perspectives for the audience to understand more about an important force that has been contributing significantly to the journey of building and protecting the Fatherland.
The program will be divided into 3 chapters: "Historical Mission", "Silent Feats", "Glorious Journey" with the participation of singers: Divo Tung Duong , Minh Quan, Vu Thang Loi (Sao Mai Runner-up 2011), Nguyen Ngoc Anh (Sao Mai Runner-up 2005), Ngoc Ky (Sao Mai Runner-up 2019)...
In particular, the program will feature two songs with lyrics composed by people in the Cipher industry, namely "Vietnam Cipher March" (Poetry - Comrade Van Duy - Former Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee; Music - An Thuyen) and "Silent Glory" (Poetry - Major General Nguyen Huu Hung - Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee; Music - Bui Hoang Uyen Minh).
The program "Silent Glory 2024" will be broadcast live on the National Defense Television channel, and rebroadcast live on central and local television channels at 8:10 p.m. on September 6 at the National Convention Center (Hanoi).
