The 2024 Capital Veterans Art Festival is held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Veterans Association (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2024) organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the City Veterans Association.
The festival praises Vietnam - Country - People; praises the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, the great President Ho Chi Minh who led the nation in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, building the country, for a rich and powerful Vietnam; praises the capital Hanoi - the city of "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" with great achievements in integration and development; praises the image and good qualities of the Veterans force in the periods of resistance, building and defending the Fatherland as well as in social life, labor and production, contributing to building the Veterans Association at all levels increasingly strong, the Capital increasingly rich, civilized, modern ...
With the participation of 30 units of districts, towns and cities, the festival is also an opportunity for generations of Veterans to meet and exchange, aiming to develop the cultural and artistic movement in the Capital's Veterans force, contributing to improving the spiritual and cultural life, encouraging Veterans to live happily, live healthily, and always maintain the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers.
Launched in March 2024, the festival received enthusiastic response from units. The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities have directed the Department of Culture - Information, the Center for Culture - Information and Sports and relevant local departments to coordinate with the Veterans Association to well organize the Festival from the grassroots level and select outstanding and typical performances, organize practice to participate in the City-level Festival, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among the masses.
