ZF Group is the world's leading automotive technology group from Germany. According to the strategic cooperation agreement, the two sides will apply ZF's core components and technologies to internal combustion engine and electric vehicles manufactured by Kim Long Motor.
In the initial phase, ZF Group will provide a new generation 6-speed automatic transmission for Kim Long Motor's bus lines.
In the next phase, the two sides will expand research cooperation, develop advanced technologies such as advanced driving assist systems (ADAS), e-Axle electric bridges, electronically controlled air suspension systems (ECAS) and electrochemical solutions, connectivity and smart vehicle management.
Kim Long Motor and ZF Group will also build a after-sales service ecosystem according to international standards. Kim Long Motor takes on the role of providing after-sales services for ZF Group's products in Vietnam and many international markets, while coordinating to develop genuine spare parts systems, train specialized technicians and improve service quality.
In the long term, the two sides agreed to establish a Technical and Training Center to study automatic transmissions on traditional cars; electric vehicles and new energy vehicles, contributing to promoting technology transfer and developing high-quality human resources.

The application of advanced technologies from ZF will help Kim Long car lines improve efficiency, safety and ability to meet international standards, creating motivation to promote the export of Vietnamese brand commercial vehicles to the global market.
