The factory is built in Kim Long Motor Hue Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Industrial Park, equipped with a modern production line, high level of automation, applying world-leading advanced technology.
Kim Long Motor also launched a new product series. KIMAN9 light trucks serve flexible transportation needs in the lightweight segment, load capacity from 1,990 - 2,490 kg, trunk length of 3,200 - 3,500 mm, diverse configurations (closed trunk, tarpaulin roof, cramped trunk, refrigerated trunk). The car uses a Yuchai engine meeting Euro 5 standards, integrating DOC-DPF emission treatment technology to help save fuel and operate sustainably.
KIMLONG X9 van is a diesel van line aimed at urban transportation, 3-seater configuration, cargo hold of 11.5 m3 - belonging to the large group in the segment. The car is developed on the Full Monocoque chassis platform, using a 2, 982 cc diesel engine, 150 horsepower, 350 Nm of torque, combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, ensuring powerful, stable and economical operation.
The GK48 EV pure electric van truck line aims for the green transportation trend. The car has dimensions of 4,860 x 1,750 x 1,990 mm, cargo compartment of 6.2 m3. Equipped with batteries from BYD or CATL, allowing to travel up to 305 km per charge. The car supports fast charging (20% - 80% in about 35 minutes), 60 horsepower, 175 Nm of torque, smooth and stable operation.
The truck factory going into operation is a strategic piece, completing Kim Long Motor's car production and assembly center in Hue in a modern, large-scale direction.
Along with bolt-on mechanical factories, Yuchai engines and electric vehicle batteries, this ecosystem helps businesses proactively produce key components of trucks such as cabin, chassis, engine, battery, truck bed,... to finished products. Thereby, improving quality control, optimizing costs and increasing the localization rate by more than 80%.
The factory aims to produce about 20,000 vehicles per year, serving the domestic market and export in the region.
