The 2025 U23 Southeast Asian Championship will take place from July 15 to July 31 in Indonesia.
In the group stage, 10 teams will compete in a round-robin to calculate points. The 3 group winners and 1 second-placed team with the best results will qualify for the semi-finals.
A noteworthy point is the way of considering the performance between the second-placed teams, the second-placed team of Group A will not be counted for results with the team at the bottom of the table.
With the achievement of winning the regional tournament twice in a row in 2022 and 2023, the U23 Vietnam team is one of the candidates competing for the championship in this year's tournament.
According to the plan, the U23 Vietnam team will gather again on June 26 in Ba Ria Vung Tau. The whole team will practice here until July 14 and then leave for Indonesia to participate in the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian tournament.
In the group stage, U23 Vietnam will face U23 Laos on July 19 and U23 Cambodia on July 22.
