The unit has 5 people participating in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, including: Mr. Tran Duc Thang - Member of the Politburo, Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City, Member of the National Assembly's Committee for Science, Technology and Environment, Chairman of the Vietnam - Israel Friendship Parliamentary Group; Mr. Son Chanh Da - Lecturer of the University Preparatory Faculty - Pedagogy School (Can Tho University); Mr. Vu Danh Hiep - Standing Deputy Director of the Economic and Finance Department under the Economic and Finance Committee of the National Assembly (Director of the Finance - Budget Department, National Assembly Office before arranging the apparatus) and Ms. Vo Thi Tho - Director of Tien Tho Co., Ltd. (Can Tho City).

Voter Trang Huu Khuong (Vi Thanh ward) expressed her belief that with professional qualifications, practical experience and a high sense of responsibility, the candidates will be attached to the grassroots level, close to the people, and understand the people.
He proposed that if delegates are elected, they should pay attention, propose, and recommend to the central government to strengthen training programs and transfer new technologies in green and clean agricultural production, according to the method of immediate transfer in the field.

Voter Nguyen Van Tam (Tu Sang hamlet, Hoa Luu commune) proposed that delegates pay attention to the issue of investment and upgrading rural roads, creating favorable conditions for the transportation of agricultural products; building a drainage system; proposing infrastructure investment for the commune.
Voter Nguyen Van Hiep (Thanh Quoi 2 hamlet, Hoa Luu commune) also hopes that candidates will pay attention to and propose mechanisms and policies to support sustainable agricultural development. Especially the investment in factories to process products from pineapple - a key crop of the commune, creating stable output for this agricultural product.
Also related to the field of agriculture and environment, voter Nguyen Thi Nguyet (area 7, Vi Thanh ward) sent a message to the Minister of Agriculture and Environment, to have solutions to stabilize the prices of agricultural products and agricultural materials; consider the Land Law; pay attention to and have policies for grassroots officials.
