On the morning of March 4, the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "National Assembly and People's Council Elections: "Party's Will - People's Hearts"; book exhibition "Belief, Unity and Aspiration" to promote the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term took place.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City - said that the thematic exhibition "National Assembly and People's Council Deputy Elections" with the theme: "Party's Will - People's Hearts", with more than 140 images, documents, and artifacts, introduces some outstanding images of President Ho Chi Minh with election work; the first general election, election of National Assembly deputies from term I to present and deputies of People's Councils at all levels in Can Tho; along with typical historical artifacts through periods, such as: propaganda posters for elections, National Assembly deputies' cards, voter cards...
The exhibition content is structured into 3 major themes: President Ho Chi Minh and election work; National Assembly and People's Councils through periods; National Assembly and People's Council of Can Tho city - innovation, integration.
In parallel with the thematic exhibition, the book exhibition with the theme: "Belief, Unity and Aspiration". The exhibition includes 300 books, newspapers and documents about President Ho Chi Minh with the National Assembly elections; documents on the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels; Instructions for propaganda on the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term (16) and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
In addition, making a video clip introducing books about President Ho Chi Minh with elections and election propaganda materials; combining the implementation of the art book stacking model: "Vietnam National Assembly Building" as a highlight.
Through this exhibition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City wishes to contribute to propagating to officials, party members and people of all walks of life in the city to understand the purpose, meaning, importance, and guiding viewpoints of the Central Government, the City Party Committee, and the City Election Committee on election work.
At the same time, creating a vibrant atmosphere for the election day of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term to be successful; strengthening the great national unity bloc, expressing will and belief in the Party's leadership; educating younger generations with deep gratitude to the generations who sacrificed for national independence and national reunification.
