On February 15, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Gianh commune (Quang Tri province) said that it had just coordinated with socio-political organizations to organize the "Green Chung Cake - Tet for the Poor" Festival to care for Tet for poor households, near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances in the area.
The festival takes place in a joyful and warm atmosphere. Officials and people participate in preparing ingredients, wrapping and cooking banh chung. Green banh chung not only brings the traditional Tet flavor but also shows the sharing and responsibility of the community towards difficult circumstances.
The program received positive responses from agencies, units, businesses and philanthropists. At the festival, the Organizing Committee presented 1,000 gifts with a total value of 800 million VND to poor households, near-poor households and difficult families.
The activity contributes to spreading the spirit of "mutual affection", consolidating the great national unity bloc, helping many families have more conditions to enjoy spring and welcome a warm Tet.
