On February 14, Lao Dong Newspaper published the article "Nearly 200 workers in Son La waiting to be paid salaries near Tet", reflecting the fact that many workers gathered in the area where the contractor is constructing the Chieng Khoong Primary - Secondary Inter-level Boarding School Project to wait for payment of wages.
By the afternoon of the same day, H.H Company (the unit directly hiring workers to construct the rough part) had completed the payment of the entire remaining wage, with a total amount of more than 1 billion VND.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dong - Chairman of Chieng Khoong Commune People's Committee - confirmed that the company has fully refunded wages to nearly 200 workers. The situation has stabilized, and people can rest assured to go home for Tet.

Mr. Luong Van Yeu (Xim Muoi village, Chieng Khoong commune) said he had just received 12 million VND in wages.
Luckily, near Tet, the company pays us. If we don't pay, we don't know where to get money to worry about Tet for our family," Mr. Yeu shared.
Regarding the delay in payment, a representative of H.H Company admitted that the delay in payment was due to a shortage of cash flow when focusing on purchasing machinery to serve construction.
