Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway, part of the North - South Eastern Expressway in the 2021 - 2025 period, is more than 83km long and is expected to be basically completed by April 30, 2025.The route is expected to have 4 lanes, 17m wide, maximum speed 80km/h. The section through Ninh Hoa town is invested by Lizen Joint Stock Company. The contractor is currently paving the asphalt.Currently, Lizen has mobilized 450 employees divided into 3 shifts to work during the holiday period.Mr. Truong Anh Dai - Deputy Commander of Lizen contractor said that up to now, the road constructed by the enterprise is completing the asphalt paving and aiming for technical traffic opening on February 28, 2025.The last point of the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway, the section through Dien Tho commune (Dien Khanh district) is 23km long and is being constructed by Son Hai Group. This section connects the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway.Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong - Manager of Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway project under Son Hai Group said that the contractor has completed the construction of crushed stone, asphalt, and completed the 21km median strip.Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong said that the contractor is currently focusing on completing the fence and soft guardrail system. "Son Hai Group mobilized 300 workers to work 24/7. We aim to basically complete the package by December 31, 2024," said Mr. Dong.
Strive to basically complete before April 30, 2025
The Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway project started construction in early 2023 with Project Management Board 7 (Ministry of Transport) as the investor, with a total capital of nearly 12,000 billion VND.
Mr. Dang Van Dung - Project Executive Director assessed that the entire project basically achieved the set plan, the contractors made a lot of efforts in the implementation of construction, closely following the adjusted construction schedule, with the goal of striving to basically complete before April 30, 2025.
For this project, the investor has collected 616 hectares of land with 2,790 affected households including 2,790 households. As of the end of August 2024, 83.35km/83.35km of land has been approved, paid and handed over, reaching 100% of the main route.
There is still a part of the additional reclaimed area for the construction of the crest ditch, the slope and some locations of the overpass approach road that have not been handed over to the construction unit. In addition, the expressway is also stuck with some technical infrastructure that will be relocated in the coming time.
