On the night of May 10, the Gulf of Tonkin, the northern sea area of the North East Sea, will have winds gradually increasing to level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8. The sea is rough, with waves 2 - 3m high.
On May 11, the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern sea area of the North East Sea will have strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, rough seas; waves 1.5 - 2.5m high. From the night of May 11, the wind will gradually decrease.
The meteorological agency warns that the risk of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas will be at high risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds and big waves.
Regarding other dangerous weather phenomena at sea, there is a possibility of tropical cyclones appearing in the East Sea in May. According to the average data of many years, there are 0.5 storms or tropical depressions in the East Sea.
