Rainfall from 7pm on September 10 to 8am on September 11 was over 100mm at monitoring stations such as: Ta Hua station (Lai Chau) 141.8mm, Ban Peo station (Tuyen Quang) 224.8mm, Muong Lai station (Lao Cai) 116.8mm,
The Northern region is forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms on the day and night of September 11, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 15-35mm, locally over 100mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain with 80mm of rainfall within 3 hours.
From September 12, the rain will gradually decrease. From September 13, the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night; sunny during the day.
In the area from Hue city to Lam Dong and the South in the afternoon and evening of September 11, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10 - 30mm, locally over 70mm.
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
From September 12 to September 20, the Central and Southern Plateau will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, with some places having heavy rain.
