The meteorological agency forecasts that from the night of December 28, cold air will have a strong impact, causing temperatures to drop further, with the lowest temperature in mountainous areas in some places below 10 degrees Celsius.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this afternoon (December 27), cold air has affected most of the Northeast region. The Gulf of Tonkin has strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7.

From tonight and tonight (December 27), the cold air will be strengthened and affect the North Central region, then affect the Northwest and Central Central regions. The northeast wind inland is strong at level 2-3, coastal areas at level 3-4.

Heavy rains can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.

At sea, Gulf of Tonkin strong northeast wind level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8; rough sea; waves from 2 - 4m high. North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago) strong northeast wind level 7, gusting to level 9; rough sea; waves from 4 - 6m high.

The sea area from Quang Tri to Ca Mau, the central East Sea area, the sea area west of the South East Sea area (including the sea area west of Truong Sa archipelago) has strong northeast wind level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9; rough seas; waves from 3 - 5m high.

Strong winds and large waves at sea are likely to affect boating and other activities.
