This afternoon, May 19, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting updated the weather forecast for the coming days in regions across the country. Accordingly, the North has widespread rain, with locally heavy to very heavy rain.

The Northeast region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An in the next 2 days, are forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain in some places.
The Northwest region has scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy to very heavy rain in some places.
Central Highlands and Southern regions will have showers and scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and night, with locally heavy to very heavy rain.
Other areas in the late afternoon and night have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places; showers and thunderstorms in some places during the day.
The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms are likely to occur with tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also gave a noteworthy weather trend in some areas from the night of May 21 to May 29. Accordingly, from about May 23, widespread hot sunshine is likely to return to the North.

The area from Ha Tinh to Da Nang city and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak from about May 23-27 is likely to experience widespread hot weather.
Other areas on the night of May 21st will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain; then the rain will decrease.
