On June 28, the Youth Union and Women's Union of the Investigation Security Department, Quang Tri Provincial Police said that they had just organized a program to sponsor Nguyen Kim Lien, a 2nd grade student of Hung Trach Primary School No. 1, according to the "Youth Union - Association's adopted child" model.
Nguyen Kim Lien belongs to a poor household, with particularly difficult circumstances. Her parents both suffer from serious illnesses, are no longer able to work; the family has 5 people, of which 3 children are of school age. Faced with the risk of having to drop out of school due to difficult economic circumstances, she was sponsored by the Youth Union and the Women's Union of the Investigation Security Department to support tuition fees, helping her continue to go to school.
At the program, representatives of the unit presented financial support, gifts and encouraged her and her family to strive to overcome difficulties and rise up in their studies.
The "Youth Union - Association's Foster Siblings" model is a social security activity with humanistic meaning, contributing to caring for and supporting students in difficult circumstances, while spreading the spirit of responsibility for the community of officials, union members, and association members of the Investigation Security Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police.
