Building a development platform based on science and technology and innovation is necessary for businesses to improve labor productivity in all fields. Especially in the 4.0 industrial era, information technology, automation and artificial intelligence are becoming the main driving forces in improving labor productivity.
The Party has pointed out that national development must be based on people, taking people as the center and considering labor productivity as the main measure. This is not only reflected in strengthening training and developing skills for the labor force, but also focusing on taking care of their material and spiritual lives.
Vietnam's labor force has now made outstanding progress in both quantity and quality. With more than 53 million people, our country's labor force is not only large but also diverse in terms of qualifications and skills. This is an important step forward in meeting the requirements of the domestic and international labor markets, helping to improve labor productivity and product quality.
Yesterday, at the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026 organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, the message was sent strongly right in the theme: "Vietnamese workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".
To achieve this goal not only during Workers' Month but also in the coming period, the Trade Union organization has had many programs and activities to accompany and support workers by coordinating with businesses to organize vocational training programs, technology transfer and improve the working environment.
To contribute to the innovation process and improve labor productivity, each worker also needs to actively participate in policies to encourage learning and improve professional qualifications, as well as applying science and technology to production. Each person improving their own qualifications and skills will help improve the quality of human resources.
Sustainable growth cannot be separated from the development of people and the labor force. The Party and State have clearly affirmed the role of science and technology, innovation and care for the material and spiritual life of workers as core factors of development.
That spirit is both an encouragement and a task of the labor force, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
