The workshop focused on the 5 latest approaches being developed by medicine in the treatment of refractive errors, including: Comprehensive cornea survey before refractive surgery, Early detection and treatment of eye drops in patients with myopia, Update new technology in refractive surgery, Optimal solutions for treating refractive errors in patients with reached-ends, Assessing surgical QQ, Phakic on a group of patients with high-endrophy brings many useful information to the participating doctors.
A topic that received special attention at the workshop was "Evaluating the results of Phakic surgery on a group of patients with high astigmatism" by Dr. Dang Thi Nhu Quynh - Director of DND International Eye Hospital. Phakic surgery is considered an advanced treatment solution for patients with high myopia, thin corneas or those who are not qualified to undergo laser refractive surgery.
Based on practical data from surgeries performed at DND International Eye Hospital, the team of doctors conducted a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of post-operative treatment: from vision, near vision, the ability to observe in low light conditions such as at night, to the level of satisfaction with visual quality. In addition, doctors also analyzed complication rates and shared valuable lessons learned from the process of monitoring and after-surgical care, in order to continuously optimize treatment outcomes for each patient.
In addition, the workshop also introduced the report of Dr. Pham Thi Hang - Head of the refractive department of DND International Eye Hospital with the theme "Comprehensive cornea survey before refractive surgery" which received special attention from experts and was assessed as a mandatory step, decisive for the success of the surgery.
