The Union of Mobilizing Tissue and Vietnamese Body Donations in Quang Ninh was established on May 17, 2024.
According to a report from the Mobilization Campaign Association, after nearly a year of operation, with the support from the National Organ Donation Coordination Center, the Department of Health and health units in the province, the Association has had a lot. Activities contribute to raising community awareness, spreading the humanistic message "giving is forever".
The campaigns launched the registration of tissue and organ donation were widely implemented with the coordination of the People's Committees of localities, the Red Cross and the Youth Union. Up to now, 1,559 people voluntarily registered to donate tissue and organs.
The Association has established a tissue and organ donation team at the provincial General Hospital and built a professional consulting system through Zalo groups.
From May 17, 2024, 52 cases of potential brain death, in which the consulting team has approached 39 patients' families.
The provincial General Hospital is assigned to be a unit, in collaboration with the National Organ Donation Coordination Center, organized training courses to improve expertise for consultants and health workers.
The donation of tissue and organs is a human and noble action that brings the opportunity to live for many patients.
