At 11 pm on January 11, 2026, the Emergency Department of E Hospital received a female patient, 49 years old, residing in Quang Ninh, in critical condition due to severe complications after liposuction at a private beauty salon in Hanoi.
According to emergency doctors, when admitted to the hospital, the patient was in a state of bruising and hematoma spreading throughout the abdomen, blood flowing profusely and uncontrollably on both sides of the surgical area. The patient had symptoms of dizziness, dizziness, nausea, accompanied by signs of acute blood loss, directly threatening his life.
Immediately, the doctors of the Emergency Department performed intensive resuscitation, and at the same time held an emergency consultation with the Department of Plastic Surgery, Aesthetics and Maxillofacial Surgery for specialized intervention.
According to the medical record, the patient underwent abdominal liposuction, facial fat grafting and buttock fat grafting at a private facility. The intervention time lasted up to 7-8 hours. After the procedure, the patient fell into a state of shock, continuous blood flow at the liposuction area and was quickly transferred to the hospital in a dangerous condition.
MSc.BSNT Le Thi Nga, Department of Plastic Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery, E Hospital said: Liposuccion is an invasive surgery, not a simple procedure like many advertisements. If performed in facilities that do not meet the conditions, do not have an anesthesia - resuscitation system and are not directly performed by specialists in Plastic Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery, the risk of serious complications, even life-threatening, is very high.
At the end of the year, the demand for beauty treatments increases, many unlicensed private spas and clinics promote liposuction advertisements with promises such as "fast - light - painless - riskless". Many people, because they believe in attractive advertisements and cheap prices, have decided to perform procedures at unsafe facilities, leading to serious consequences.
MSc.BSNT Le Thi Nga recommends: Lip aspiration is only allowed to be performed at hospitals or licensed medical facilities. Absolutely do not perform liposuction at spas, unlicensed private facilities, even if the cost is low or attractive advertising.
It's a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit.
