After receiving information from the people from the City's Information Portal 1022 about Khang Thinh General Clinic (address 114 Tran Dinh Xu, Ho Chi Minh City) performing a medical abortion with drugs, prescribing for paraclinical examination, and testing with the reason of "monster", on July 22, 2025, the Department of Health's Inspection - Legal Department coordinated with the City Police and the People's Committee of Cau Ong Lanh Ward to conduct a surprise inspection of the clinic at this address.
Through reviewing the patient's medical records, the Inspection Team recorded that the patient was diagnosed with a 4-5 week pregnancy, suspended the pregnancy with medicine, the treating physician recorded the medical records that were unclear according to regulations, the clinic collected fees for all types of services but the medical records did not show them.
On the other hand, retrieving images in the computer at the obstetrics clinic led by Dr. V.T.T.D (who is also a doctor treating the patient), the inspection team discovered hundreds of images of a medical cervical ensembles with a code (MS signal) but no name or age of the patient.
Explaining to the inspection team, Doctor V.T.T.D said: "The cervical bust image, only the code, no name or patient information, was because the clinic system was like that, so we worked like that...".
In addition to the signs of "faking illness, extorting money", this Clinic also has other administrative violations such as the brand name "Khang Thinh International General Clinic" which is not the correct name of the Clinic in the license issued by the Department of Health (general Clinic under Viet Khang Group Company Limited).
Doctor V.T.T.D was also administratively sanctioned for the act of preparing records and medical records but did not clearly and fully state the items in the medical records, the additional penalty was the revocation of the right to use the practice certificate for 02 months (this doctor previously practiced at the General Clinic under International General Clinic Company Limited).
The Department of Health continues to coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Police to investigate, clarify and strictly handle this Clinic according to the law when determining evidence of violations.
