On March 5, information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that the unit had just issued a plan to continue arranging the organizational structure of departments, agencies, branches, and public non-business units of the government bloc of Nghe An province, including the plan to merge Nghe An Dermatology Hospital into Nghe An General Friendship Hospital.
Accordingly, Nghe An General Friendship Hospital will establish a Dermatology - Aesthetics Institute/Center directly under it, undertaking the task of medical examination and treatment for people. At the same time, the task of fever prevention will be transferred to Nghe An Center for Disease Control.
According to Dr. Nguyen Thai Dung - Deputy Director of Nghe An Dermatology Hospital, the hospital currently has 32 officials and 6 departments. During the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the number of patients has increased sharply, but the hospital still faces many difficulties in ensuring revenue. Mr. Dung said: "The merger into Nghe An General Friendship Hospital is a correct policy, aimed at creating stability for the team, promoting the potential of the team, facilities and equipment of the hospital".
Mr. Dung also added: "Hospital officials, doctors, and staff all want the merger project to be implemented soon, so that everyone can feel secure in their work and contribute.
Leaders of Nghe An Department of Health said: "This is a correct policy in the current conditions, aimed at streamlining the apparatus, promoting the capacity of the team and facilities of the hospital, creating stability in life for hospital officials and employees".
This plan is part of the plan to streamline the administrative apparatus, improve the quality of healthcare and optimize resources of Nghe An province, contributing to improving the effectiveness of medical examination and treatment and community service.
Nghe An Dermatology Hospital (address at 130 Le Hong Phong, Truong Vinh ward, Nghe An), is a provincial-level public health non-business unit, rank 3, directly under the Nghe An Department of Health. The hospital was established in 2019, with the predecessor being Nghe An Dermatology Station established in 1964. By 2006, this station was upgraded to Nghe An Anti-Pig - Dermatology Center. However, during its operation, the hospital encountered many difficulties due to revenue not meeting expenses, and the lives of officials, employees and workers at the hospital were facing many difficulties. Therefore, the Nghe An Health sector advised on dissolving Nghe An Dermatology Hospital and merging it into Nghe An General Friendship Hospital.
