According to the Government Portal, speaking at the working session, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Academy of Public Administration and Management is a prestigious national center in training and fostering high-quality human resources - the elite public administrators of the country.
Recently, implementing the revolution in arranging and streamlining the apparatus, the National Academy of Public Administration was merged into the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and officially renamed the Academy of Public Administration and Management.
This is not simply changing names, changing focal points, changing governing bodies, changing organizational models, restructuring the apparatus, but also reflects the strategic vision of our Party and State on placing training, fostering, and building a contingent of cadres and civil servants in a unified whole to focus and optimize resources to serve common development requirements.

Regarding key tasks and solutions in the coming time, the Prime Minister clearly stated that, facing the context of practical requirements in the new development stage of the country, the mission of creating new knowledge and values of the Academy needs to be promoted more strongly.
The Prime Minister requested to focus on building a Project to develop the Academy into a key national higher education institution in terms of administration, state management, and governance, to be completed in March 2026.
To create all favorable conditions for the Academy of Public Administration and Management to fulfill its mission, vision and set goals, the Prime Minister requested the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to effectively implement the "Academy within the Academy" model, build a mechanism for decentralization, delegation of power and granting appropriate and effective autonomy.
Develop a synchronous and interconnected training and fostering ecosystem for cadres and civil servants, in which the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics plays a political - strategic orientation role; the Academy of Public Administration and Management plays a core role in training and fostering expertise in public administration, public administration, and public service performance.
