Currently, the boy can live, eat and drink milk.
At the time of hospitalization and examination, the boy was diagnosed with multiple injuries, spleen contusion, liver, pancreatic rupture, kidney damage, left forearm fracture, chronic anemia, and blood clotting disorder.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on May 5, Hoa Hiep Commune People's Committee said that the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police in coordination with Hoa Hiep Commune Police have temporarily detained 2 people to investigate and clarify the case of a 2-year-old boy being seriously abused in the area.

According to initial information, the victim in the abuse case is N.G. K (born in 2024), the child of N.T. T. T (born in 1993). Recently, N.T. T. T lived as husband and wife with D.C (born in 1996) and came to Hoa Hiep commune to rent a house to live with K.
In the afternoon of May 2nd, receiving a report from people about child K being abused, functional forces of Hoa Hiep commune came to the scene to prevent and take the victim to Ba Ria General Hospital for emergency treatment. After that, child K continued to be transferred to Children's Hospital 1, Ho Chi Minh City for treatment.
At the same time, the local government has assigned the Commune Police to preside over and coordinate with agencies and units to investigate, verify, and resolve the case; as well as take care of and support baby K in treatment.
