November 20th has gone down in Vietnamese history as the day when the whole society pays tribute to and honors the teaching profession and those who care for the cause of education and training. Every teacher, when choosing the teaching profession, comes from love for students, tolerance and a sense of responsibility for the "noble profession".

Celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day, I think of the words of the famous scholar of the Later Le Dynasty, Than Nhan Trung: "Talents are the vital energy of a nation. When the vital energy is prosperous, the country is strong and becomes greater. When the vital energy is weak, the country is weak and becomes more degraded. Therefore, the talented kings of the past, there was no generation that did not take care to nurture and train talented people to further enrich the vital energy."
