On January 15, at the Government headquarters, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Head of the Steering Committee for the construction of nuclear power plants - chaired the first meeting of the Steering Committee. Also attending were Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; leaders of ministries, branches, agencies, and members of the Steering Committee.
