In August 2025, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province sent a document to the Ministry of Finance, requesting consideration of allocating about VND 9,156 billion from the Central Budget to implement a project of migration, resettlement, and site clearance for Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plants.
According to Decision 794 dated June 8, 2015 of the Prime Minister, the total land area recovered for the 2 Nuclear Power Plant projects is more than 1,279 hectares with 1,288 households; including an area of 2 998 hectares of factories, 2 resettlement areas of 85.65 hectares, a renovated residential area of 13.4 hectares, a cemetery area of 22.27 hectares, a pumping station area of 0.59 hectares and a resettlement area of 159.6 hectares.
In reality, the area recovered is more than 1,130 hectares with 1,153 households; of which the area of 2 factories is 815 hectares, 2 resettlement areas are 119.25 hectares, and other areas have not changed.
The total cost of the project is estimated at about 12,392 billion VND. To date, the Prime Minister has allocated VND 3,236 billion.
Khanh Hoa province proposed the remaining capital to pay off to households and organizations whose land is recovered in 2025, ensuring compliance with current land prices.
In case of additional funding, the province will continue to report to the Ministry of Finance for synthesis and submission to the Prime Minister for consideration.
