On July 13, a professional meeting and draw for the Davis Cup - Group III of Asia and Oceania 2025 took place in Bac Ninh.
The event was organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) in collaboration with the World Tennis Federation (ITF), gathering nearly 50 players from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Syria, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President and General Secretary of VTF, Head of the tournament organizing committee - shared: "After many months of coordination & active preparation, the host country of Vietnam is now ready for the prestigious International Tennis Tournament to officially take place from July 14-19, 2025 in accordance with the requirements of the ITF.
The Davis Cup - Group III 2025 is not only a place for athletes to compete for the national glory of each country, but also a bridge to promote cultural exchange and solidarity between countries in the Asian and Atlantic regions".
At the ceremony, international referee Jemin You (Korea) conducted the draw for the group. Accordingly, Group A three includes Thailand (seed number 1), Saudi Arabia (2), Vietnam (6), Singapore (7). Meanwhile, Group B includes Indonesia (2), Syria 4, Jordan (5), Sri Lanka (8), Cambodia (9).

"We are very determined, especially when playing at home. All are aimed at a common goal of being promoted to Group II," said tennis player Vu Ha Minh Duc.
According to the ITF, the top three teams after the tournament will qualify for the Group II play-off in 2026. The two teams at the bottom will have to go to Group IV. The remaining teams will continue to compete in Group III in the following season.
The teams will compete from July 14 to 19, 2025 at the Hanaka Paris Ocean Park tennis court cluster, Bac Ninh province.
