Patiently waiting for the vehicle to be appraised
Present at My Dinh Stadium on the morning of July 13, despite the hot weather, many people patiently waited for their turn to get advice on changing gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles.
Present at the vehicle appraisal area, the reporter observed that all 10 booths were packed with people bringing the vehicles for appraisal. Ms. Nguyen Hai Van, 36 years old, a bank employee in Cau Giay ward, shared: "I have read a lot of information about electric vehicles, but when I got to try driving VF 7, I was completely convinced. The vehicle runs smoothly, no noise, good acceleration, and a sturdy chassis system. The important thing is to feel secure, especially when carrying a small child".
Ms. Van's family currently uses a gasoline car. After a test drive and consultation, the couple started considering changing cars this year to take advantage of the incentives. "The support level of 100 million VND if exchanging old vehicles, then reducing prices according to the Vietnam spirit emphasis program, and having more points if registering for Hanoi license plates - all are very practical" - she said.
At the old car valuation area, Mr. Le Xuan Dung, 45 years old, a technical worker at Dong Anh commune, brought a gasoline car that he has used for nearly 10 years: "I did not think the event would be so professional and transparent. The used vehicle was quickly appraised, the consultant was clear. I am considering VF 6 to replace the current car".
Not only middle-aged people, the event also attracted a large number of young people. Hoang Minh Tuan (22 years old, student of Hanoi University of Architecture) shared: I am very impressed with the VF 3 model because I love design. The vehicle is compact, has unique colors, and has a personalized version. After the test drive, I decided to plan to earn money to buy a car.
According to the representative of the organizing committee, there have been hundreds of registrations for test driving and pricing used cars. The event "Gasioline - PowerChange" is not only attractive thanks to its diverse products and modern technology, but also because consumers are starting to clearly see the need to change vehicles.

Towards a roadmap to limit gasoline vehicles entering the inner city
On July 12, the Prime Minister signed and issued Directive No. 20/CT-TTg on a number of urgent tasks, resolutely preventing and combating environmental pollution.
Accordingly, from January 1, 2028, there will be no motorbikes or mopeds, limiting gasoline-powered cars to circulate on Ring Road 1, Ring Road 2; from 2030, continue to expand implementation on Ring Road 3.

This policy comes with measures to support people to change vehicles: Financial support, reduction of tax fees for electric vehicles, strong development of charging station infrastructure, encourage the use of electric public vehicles. At the same time, the authorities also plan to increase registration fees and parking fees for gasoline-powered vehicles in the central area to create motivation for movement.
"Restring gasoline vehicles is inevitable. The problem is whether I prepare in advance or wait until the water reach my feet to dance" - Mr. Dung commented - "I live in a suburban commune of Dong Anh, often moving to the center. If we keep old cars until 2028, it will not only be difficult to circulate but sometimes not be able to sell".
According to VinFast representative, the name of this car change event is the "F gasoline - electricity exchange - to the next generation of luxury drivers" festival held from July 11 to July 13. This is the largest electric vehicle exchange program ever. Users can bring used gasoline cars to the price list for free, connecting with reputable used car purchasing units.
When reaching an agreement to resell a gasoline car and switch to buying a VinFast electric car model, customers can receive a discount of up to 238 million VND, depending on the car model and payment method.
The program is expected to be a big boost for the "gasoline - electricity exchange" campaign, previously deployed by VinFast with the electric motorbike line.
