On July 3rd (local time), the Vietnamese rescue and relief team continued to carry out the task of searching for victims in the most severely damaged area of Guaira state, Venezuela.
On the fourth working day at the scene, with high determination, the Vietnamese Rescue and Relief Team, in close coordination between the Police and Army forces, divided into many teams to search for the victims.
Many difficulties in rescuing victims such as: complicated scene, harsh weather, serious environmental pollution... continued to appear. Especially during the day, functional agencies warned twice of tremors, causing rescue work to be interrupted many times.
Noteworthy during the day was the mission at the scene of an 8-story dilapidated apartment building. This is an area where previously, international rescue forces after surveying concluded: There is still one victim trapped, but should not be rescued.
However, with the expectation of the victim's family, the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security's Rescue and Relief Team did not give up. With professional approaches, careful analysis and cautious implementation, the delegation successfully brought the victim's body out, completing this seemingly impossible task.
On today's search and rescue day (July 3, local time), the team continued to remove 15 victims' bodies. Thus, up to now, the Vietnamese rescue team has removed a total of 45 victims' bodies.
Also on the same day, near the scene of the victim search, many Venezuelans set up temporary tents to live right by the roadside with extremely difficult living and living conditions.
Taking advantage of the break time, the Vietnamese rescue and relief delegation shared small gifts that are essential necessities cut from the rations of members of the delegation. The artifacts, although not of much value, are a great spiritual encouragement for the Venezuelan people in distress.
According to the plan, tomorrow (July 4, local time), the working group will continue to perform the task of searching and rescuing at locations where the trapped victims have been identified.
