RT reported that on December 30, technology billionaire Elon Musk commented that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is the "all-time champion" in the context of outgoing US President Joe Biden's recent approval of an additional $2.5 billion military aid package for Kiev.
Billionaire Elon Musk's comments were posted on social network X, in response to a comment from a user who said the Ukrainian President had just carried out "the greatest usurpation of all time".
Washington's latest aid package to Kiev includes a variety of advanced military hardware, ammunition and armored vehicles worth up to $2.5 billion, of which $1.25 billion is funded from Presidential Drawing Rights (PDA).
In addition, Mr. Biden continued to emphasize the urgency of supporting Ukraine in the final weeks of his presidency.
On December 29, Utah Senator and Republican Mike Lee said there was negativity in the $175 billion in US aid to Ukraine since the conflict with Russia broke out in 2022 and requested a detailed audit to bring transparency.
In March, Mr Musk said Kiev should provide Washington with a report on its use of resources and a plan to resolve the conflict. The SpaceX CEO also accused US officials of helping to fuel the conflict.
Although the billionaire has supported Ukraine with Starlink internet stations, he argues that Kiev should not expect to defeat Moscow on the battlefield. Instead, the conflict should be resolved through a negotiated settlement.
However, Mr. Elon Musk promised to continue supporting the Ukrainian military through Starlink satellites.
Mr Musk has been one of the most vocal supporters of a plan to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine that Donald Trump vowed to implement during his presidential campaign.
In November, SpaceX chief and billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy was nominated by US President-elect Donald Trump to run the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), tasked with reducing waste and reforming the bureaucracy.
