On June 12 (US time), the administration of US President Donald Trump continued to release the third classified UFO document, adding to the growing database of unidentified abnormalities (UAP) in the US.
According to USA Today, the new documents do not provide evidence of the existence of aliens or unidentified extraterrestrial objects. However, they reveal many notable details about how US intelligence agencies handled reports related to UFOs over the decades.
One of the most notable contents is related to Dr. Leon Davidson, a chemical engineer who participated in the Manhattan Project and then spent many years researching UFO phenomena.
According to recently declassified documents, scientist Leon Davidson once asked the CIA to explain a "message from space" and a signal transmitter that he believed was related to UFO reports appearing at that time.
In a secret letter dated January 9, 1958, Mr. R.P. B. Lohmann, a CIA official in charge of communications, said that the agency had replied to Dr. Davidson that the relevant files had been destroyed and could not provide further information.
However, Mr. Lohmann himself admitted that this was an "extremely vague and evasive" answer. He said that this response was unlikely to convince Dr. Davidson, and admitted that it was not really fair to the scientist who was looking for an answer.
The document also shows that two CIA agents once tried to hide their identities when contacting Dr. Davidson. However, officials involved in the case believe that Dr. Davidson realized he was working with the CIA.
In addition to historical documents, this crackdown also includes some recent reports of unidentified flying objects.
An FBI report recorded testimony from two witnesses who saw a red glowing sphere hovering behind their house in early 2026. According to the description, the object is about 1m in diameter, emitting bright red light with a white core resembling "plasma sun".
A short time later, a second ball appeared and both moved in formation before disappearing from sight.
In addition, some federal agents also reported observing orange and yellow balloons appearing in the sky over the western United States in 2023. Although investigated, these phenomena have not yet had an official explanation.
According to the Pentagon, the website storing UFO files has attracted more than 1.7 billion visits since its launch in May 2026. US agencies said new document releases will continue to be carried out in the near future.
