In the context of Russia's newly announced complete liberation of Kursk province from Ukrainian forces, on May 3, Chechnya leader Ramzan Kadyrov said that fighters from the Akhmat Special Forces in a joint operation with Russian attack teams had blocked a Ukrainian invasion of Kursk province.
According to Kadyrov, the defensive campaign took place under the smooth coordination between Akhmat's "Kashtan" group, the 2nd Special Forces Brigade and the 15th Artillery Regiment of Russia.
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have identified the opponent's location, conveying the coordinates to the artillery and tank leadership to carry out a series of high-precision strikes, "eliminating the entire group of raids".
This is one of the rare times that Akhmat special forces have reappeared on the border battlefield, marking the increasingly prominent role of Chechnya forces in Russia's strategic campaigns, especially at hot spots such as Kursk.
Not only Kursk, Russia will launch a total counterattack on the entire front line. The Russian Defense Ministry announced a series of coordinated developments on all fronts.
In the past 24 hours, the Russian air defense system has destroyed 7 JDAM guided bombs, 1 HIMARS missile and 292 Ukrainian UAVs.
According to TASS, since the beginning of the special military campaign, the number of Ukrainian military equipment destroyed has reached nearly 35,000 units, including more than 23,000 tanks, 55,000 UAVs and nearly 25,000 artillery pieces.
Mobile combat groups (Battlegroup) in many directions also recorded heavy attacks on Ukrainian forces.
Under the attack of the Northern route group, Ukraine lost up to 170 soldiers and many weapons in hot spots such as Sumy and Kharkov.
The Dnepr group caused Ukraine to lose about 60 soldiers, a US-made HMMWV armored vehicle, an electronic warfare station and ammunition depot in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson areas.
The Western Front group eliminated over 220 Ukrainian troops from the battlefield with the Heron missile launch system in the Kharkov area.
The Central Line Group recorded the heaviest losses to Ukraine with about 460 soldiers and a French-supplied AMX tank destroyed.
For the Southern Route group, more than 235 Ukrainian soldiers died in Donetsk.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Front group killed more than 170 soldiers in an attack deep into the Ukrainian defense lines in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia.
At the same time, Russian forces said they had successfully intercepted all unmanned boat attacks on the Crimean peninsula. The total number of death boats destroyed was 23, of which 14 were disabled overnight. No damage or casualties were recorded at the regional infrastructure.
