According to information on the website of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament of Ukraine) on January 26, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed laws extending martial law and the general mobilization campaign in Ukraine for another 90 days.
The Verkhovna Rada passed related laws on January 14. Before the vote, the president's related decrees were unanimously passed by the National Security Committee of the National Assembly.
The decision to extend the general mobilization was supported by 312 MPs.
These laws have been announced on the website of the National Assembly and take effect from the time of announcement (martial law) and from February 3, 2026 (general mobilization).
This is the 18th extension of martial law and the general mobilization campaign in Ukraine.
Martial law and general mobilization were imposed in Ukraine from February 24, 2022 after the conflict with Russia broke out.
