"With each bullet fired to kill terrorists, you are changing the balance of the world... Each driver driving an accelerator forward is changing the world political map," the Syrian presidential office issued a statement.
After meeting with officers and soldiers, the Syrian President recently met with civilians who had been evacuated by the Syrian Arab army and its allies from war zones in Eastern Ghouta.
Activists support the Syrian government as considering the visit by al-Assad as a "victorious declaration" in the ongoing war in the East Ghouta region. Al-Assad had previously visited several areas of Eastern Ghouta just before the liberation, including the key districts of Baba Omro in the city of Homs and Daraya, west of Damascus.
Previously, some sources from pro-government forces and opposition sources said that the Damascus government and rebels in Eastern Ghouta had reached an evacuation agreement. The Russian Defense Ministry also revealed that more than 68,000 civilians have been evacuated from war zones.
These latest developments show that the war in the East Ghouta region is about to end. However, the extreme elements in the rebel army can certainly sabotage all peace efforts, as they have done many times before, the South Front said.
