Entering the match on the afternoon of May 23 at the Tay Ninh Provincial Gymnasium, both Binh Chung Thong Tin and Gunma Green Wings entered the game very determinedly. In set 1, the Japanese team played better. They coordinated attacks rhythmically, exploiting errors in the opponent's first pass, to win with a score of 25-20.
In set 2, Gunma Green Wings had a great opportunity to win when leading their opponent with a score of 24-22. However, their athletes did not take advantage of it well, missing decisive scoring opportunities. Meanwhile, Binh chủng Thông tin of coach Pham Van Long played persistently, scoring 4 consecutive points to win with a score of 26-24.
With quite similar strength, Binh Chung Thong Tin and Gunma Green Wings contributed attractive head-to-head phases, continuously closely following scores in sets 3 and 4. However, at key moments, the Vietnamese club took the lead thanks to the brilliance of individuals such as Quynh Huong, Nguyen Phuong or Lam Oanh. Meanwhile, Gunma Green Wings ran out of steam, partly because the force was damaged by the injuries of some key players.

In sets 3 and 4, Binh Chung Thong Tin won with the same score of 25-22, thereby completing a spectacular comeback. In the end, Binh Chung Thong Tin defeated Gunma Green Wings 3-1, to rank 5th at VTV9 Cup - 2026, while the Japanese team ranked 6th.
Previously, VietinBank defeated Suwon City to rank 7th, pushing the opponent to 8th. Hanoi Tasco Auto won 3rd place, after winning against LPB Ninh Binh.
