Canadian number one opposite hitter likely to come to Vietnam
Recently, information appeared on social networks and groups that love Vietnamese volleyball that Kiera Van Ryk - Canada's number one opposite hitter is likely to come to Vietnam. Speculation suggests that this female player is being interested by two volleyball teams in Vietnam and offered to negotiate for phase 1 of the 2026 national championship.
This is information that makes many Vietnamese volleyball fans happy and follow. Kiea Van Ryk was born in 1999, is a pillar of the Canadian women's volleyball team. She takes on the main attacking role from the right wing (position No. 2). With a height of 1m88 (according to Volleybox data), Van Ryk easily overcomes the opponent's block.
Besides, good jumping power, powerful and dangerous finishing ability on the right flank are factors that help Van Ryk regularly create breakthroughs in difficult situations. Therefore, this opposite hitter is one of the top scorers for the Canadian team.

Today (February 28), two players, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Tran Thi Bich Thuy, both played in the Japanese national volleyball championship. Both had to accept defeat with their teams but still made their mark thanks to good scoring efficiency.
With Thanh Thuy, she and Gunma Green Wings suffered a 0-3 defeat to NEC Red Rockets. The set scores were 22-25, 17-25, 25-27 respectively. Although there was no joy of victory, Thanh Thuy still became the player with the most points for her team. The Vietnamese hitter scored 16 points, including 1 block point, achieving an efficiency of 50%.

Meanwhile, Bich Thuy and the Okayama Seegulls team lost 1-3 to Denso Airybees (25-19, 22-25, 18-25, 19-25). The Vietnamese middle blocker scored 14 points, including 5 blocks, achieving an efficiency of 36%.
