Hanoi women's team uses 100% domestic players
According to the registration list of women's football teams in phase 2 of the 2024 national championship, Hanoi club is the only team that does not hire foreign players nor add domestic players.
This is a common thing for the capital team in recent seasons because they do not have a sponsor, leading to financial problems. Coach Nguyen Huu Binh will rely on the young players of the U20 Vietnam team such as Vi Thi Yen Nhi, Pham Thuy Linh or Bui Thi Anh Thao to nurture the hope of staying in the tournament this year.
Ho Chi Minh City Volleyball confidently returns
Ho Chi Minh City Volleyball has a ticket to return to the 2025 national championship after winning the 2024 national A-class finals. This is also a motivation to support the members on the upcoming challenging journey of staying in the league.
After receiving the good news of being sponsored by a unit with an amount of 10 billion/year for the next 5 seasons, coach Tran Thi Thu Hien and her team aim to stay in the national championship. However, this will be a big challenge for the Southern team when the opponents are considered to be of a much higher level.
Mr. Ha Vu Son - Head of Ho Chi Minh City Volleyball and General Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Volleyball Federation said that first, the Ho Chi Minh City women's team must focus on rebuilding the plan and evaluating the force, adding more quality positions, signing contracts with more domestic players with good skills. At the same time, it must ensure plans to take care of facilities and specialized training regimes for athletes.
