Determination of Hanoi Police
One day before the 2024-2025 National Super Cup match, captain Nguyen Quang Hai and coach Mano Polking of Hanoi Police shared their great desire at a press conference. They want to win the first Super Cup title as a gift to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).
My teammates and I are determined to compete and win to celebrate the memorable holiday of the Public Security sector, said midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai.
Mr. Mano Polking also shared: I have seen many valuable documents about Vietnam as well as the Public Security sector revolving around the country's memorable milestones. I also know that Vietnamese people always cherish historical values. Through football, I want to bring joy to the fans.
Indeed, in front of thousands of spectators at Thien Truong Stadium in the National Super Cup, the Hanoi Police Club brought a good match, a big title. Despite having to face the defending V.League champion Nam Dinh, Quang Hai and his teammates still showed a modern, regional and approaching continental style of play. The players on the field from domestic players such as Viet Anh, Thanh Long, Quang Hai, Dinh Bac... to foreign players such as Leo Artur, Alan, Hugo Gomes all share the same will and effort. Thanks to that, Hanoi Police convincingly won 3-2 against Nam Dinh.
In addition to the Super Cup, the Hang Day home team won the National Cup; won the runner-up position in the Southeast Asian Club Championship and the V.League Bronze Medal. Remember, no team is as persistent and has achieved good results in many fields as coach Mano Polking and his team. That also shows the depth of the squad, class and meticulous strategic planning from the coaching staff.
From domestic to international
The recent 2024-2025 National Cup championship has helped Hanoi Police get an additional ticket to participate in 2 regional and continental tournaments in the 2025-2026 season, the AFC Champions League Two and the Southeast Asian Cup C1. At the same time, Quang Hai and his teammates will continue to fight in two domestic fronts, the V.League and the National Cup.
This is both a source of pride and a challenge that coach Polking's team needs to overcome. Looking forward to the new season, in addition to retaining key players such as Van Thanh, Van Duc, Cao Pendant Quang Vinh, Giap Tuan Duong... Hanoi Police also recruited quality new players.
The appearance of Vu Tuyen Quang, Mauk, Ly Duc, Adou Minh, Rogerio and Brandon Ly further strengthened the team's squad depth. With nearly 30 high-class players, Mr. Polking can freely rotate and use flexible personnel in the 4 arenas that this team participates in.
